It’s that time again for yet another CTR Grand Prix & just in time for Christmas. The Winter Festival GP begins this Friday, December 13th at 7AM Pacific Time & 10AM EST, which is the usual time it starts at.
The new Grand Prix features characters like Rilla Roo, Yaya Panda, Chick & Stew (all in Pit Stop). And of course, Hasty (unlockable in Nitro Gauge), a previously cut character known as Fasty, fully redesigned for this game. He’s a moose now with a Canadian accent.
As with previous Grand Prix’s, the track itself looks absolutely amazing! Featuring snow, ice & even houses made out of candy! There’s lots of it everywhere!
3-new karts are present in this GP. The Nitro Sleigh, which we knew about a couple months back. And 2-other previously unknown karts; the Snow Plow & Sugar Crush.
Let’s take a quick look at the roadmap for this GP, starting with the Pit Stop items & character skins. And they are;

Monster Pajama Baby Crash
Elf Coco
Reindeer Crash
Ski Suit Hasty
Arctic Nash
Ugly Sweater Polar (unlockable in Nitro Gauge)
Winter Tawna
& of course Winter Guardian Spyro! The Purple dragon wants to celebrate the holidays too! And he looks AWESOME!
In terms of wheels & karts for the Pit Stop, they are; Nitro Sleigh & Pastry Wheels.
Activision also teased the next GP for January in their blog post. Calling ii “the post apocalyptic chaos of Rustland!” Interesting.
