As reported earlier, a new Playstation ad titled, Time To Play, featured a fully CGI Crash Bandicoot. But what wasn’t mentioned was the slight tease of a possible new character in the form of a new mask for Coco Bandicoot?! Which is a 1st seeing as Coco has only ever had Aku Aku follow her around like Crash.
To be clear, this mask hasn’t been seen before in the Crash Bandicoot franchise. It appears to be a white mask with either clear or white-glowing eyes, kind of difficult to tell seeing as the image gets kind of blurry upon zooming in.
This right here means that a new Crash game is on the way very, very soon. The Game Awards next month perhaps? Likely Not a remaster, not a remake but an entirely new game altogether.
A Twitter user by the name of Ryan Sweeney brought this to the communities attention. Others noticed it as well.
But the artist of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Nickolas Kole, retweeted this image & Tweet with a thinking emoji.
Now why do I bring up Nicholas Kole and what does he have to do with this? Well, a few months back Toys For Bob accidentally leaked some Crash Bandicoot concept art on Twitter. They quickly removed it & put it back up, only the image was cropped to Not include the said art.
Which indicates that Toys For Bob is somehow involved with the next Crash Bandicoot game. Nicholas Kole also similarly teased when this concept art leak was found.
Seeing as CTR:NF was revealed at The Game Awards last year, Crash appearing again this year is a definite possibility. So we’ll have to wait & see on that.
So what do you guys think about this? You think the new Crash game is going to be revealed at The Game Awards 2019? Be sure to let me know in the comments below!
