So what’s next for Activision/Blizzard Studios (Activision’s film/TV studio)? Well after Skylanders Academy’s 3rd season it’s unclear (outside of a few hints from the showrunners) if a season 4 will happen.
The studios planned Warcraft sequels & Call of Duty cinematic universe don’t seem to be doing anything at the moment or have been delayed (unknown).
Anyways the main point of why the studio was created was to make films & TV shows based on their game franchises. Particularly their current/existing franchises with nostalgic qualities. In that case I’d say Crash & Spyro fit under those categories rather well. And could likely happen, however we may have to wait and see how much longer Skylanders Academy will run for before that happens.
An Overwatch film could also happen due to it’s popularity.
