So a busy week of Sonic news has started up. This time involving the Sonic Movie and another TSR Team reveal.
Team Eggman has been revealed for Team Sonic Racing. Now I was already expecting Eggman & Metal Sonic to be a part of this team. But the remaining slot, I was not expecting to be Zavok. I like Zavok, but it’s just Infinite I think deserved at least another appearance. Well maybe the Zeti will get the chance for their characters to be expanded upon. Hopefully Infinite still makes it in as either a DLC racer or part of the story.
And Zavok’s description is kind of interesting.
“Zavok [Heavy] – the leader of the Deadly Six, a demon-like being that continues to battle Sonic and friends whenever the opportunity arises”
So is he considered a new rival for Sonic? Why is he helping Eggman? When we’ve seen in Lost World that he disliked both Eggman & Sonic.
Okay onto the Sonic Movie news, well not really news. It’s more of a joke and as usual I’m taking it as a hint. Since the official Sonic Twitter account does it, there’s no reason for the Movies account to not do the same.

Back on Monday the official Sonic Movie Twitter poster the above Tweet. Obviously a joke on the recent 10-year challenge. Which features a Sonic & the Black Knight model and an “image loading” icon. This right here is interesting, because Sonic & the Black Knight’s 10th anniversary is coming up in March (3rd for US, 11th for Japan & Australia, 13th for Europe). Paramount Pictures is also releasing Wonder Park on March 15th, which is very close to Black Knights 10th anniversary. On top of this, SXSW 2019 will be starting on March 8th until March 17th. Which is right in the middle of Black Knight’s 10th anniversary.
So with all that pointed out, I believe the trailer could release in Mid-March, either on Black Knight’s 10th anniversary, attached to Wonder Park or shown at SXSW 2019. Now if I recall correctly Sega has appeared there in the past few years, but are yet to confirm an appearance this year. Paramount I’m not too sure if they appeared at SXSW in the past, but it could be likely though.
