Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Revealed/ Everything We Know So Far

Well the CTR remaster has been revealed during The Game Awards as expected. Except now it’s called Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled and it has been built from the ground up. Not only does it retain it’s original modes, tracks, characters and more from the original game. But now includes new karts and tracks that weren’t in the original, like the karts from Crash Nitro Kart for instance. It will even include an online multi-player option.

There will also be a digital deluxe edition called “Nitros Oxide Edition”, which when pre-ordered will unlock the games villain, Nitros Oxide. Along with his hovercraft kart and space-themed character skins for Crash, Coco, Cortex, and more. Now these are still unlockable with the standard game through adventure challenges. When you pre-order on PS4 you’ll also get new avatars and the games title theme.

Also this game will be developed by Beenox (who previously developed some Spider-Man games for Activision) instead of Vicarious Visions. Despite that, the models are exactly the same as the N-Sane Trilogy. Which also allows for the characters to be more expressive then the original. Beenox also stated that they are remastering the games soundtrack, so it’ll be as close to the original as possible (like Crash N-Sane & Spyro Reignited).

Not only that but the number of dots on the orange dice before the reveal. Did in fact tease the games release date. Which is June 21st, 2019 (which is exactly 1-month after the release of Sega’s Team Sonic Racing and will also be available on the same platforms as CTR:NF in addition to PC) for PS4, Xbox One & Nintendo Switch.

Also on another note, one of my recent articles I believe was correct. Because the above Tweet I believe confirms (which I wasn’t expecting one so soon, plus other recent Spyro Twitter posts were possibly referencing stages in CTR) a crossover with Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. As you can see the Tweet (which was posted before CTR:NF was revealed on the same day) is from the official Spyro Twitter account and it makes a reference to the 3rd hub world (Glacier Park) from Crash Team Racing. And if you look closely to the left in the distance you can see what appears to be a kart. Now Spyro didn’t appear in the CTR:NF trailer, but he could be revealed later on before release. So does this confirm Spyro in CTR:NF? We’ll have to wait and see about that.

Anyways, what do you guys think about all this? Are you excited? Do you think Spyro will be playable? Let me know what you think in the comments below.
