Now there’s no confirmation of a new crossover happening yet. But I believe that both the official Crash Bandicoot & Spyro The Dragon Twitter accounts have been hinting at the possibility since Thanksgiving.
Starting with the above Thanksgiving post by the official Crash Bandicoot Twitter account, which features Spyro The Dragon. Which is still not a confirmation that a crossover is happening, but now more posts are showing up involving the 2-franchises. This next (and only other) post is from the official Spyro The Dragon Twitter account and again involves Crash Bandicoot (well Crash doesn’t actually appear, it’s just Australia, which is where Crash is from).
And once again it’s the Spyro drone, well it’s not actually there though. Either way I’m going to take these posts as hints toward a possible crossover between Crash and Spyro in the near future.
But let’s not forget though, about that GB Eye post that confirmed Crash was coming to Switch, PC & Xbox One (well GB eye only confirmed the Switch & PC versions), which also mentioned a new Crash game in 2019. As for what kind of Crash game, that is unknown and the crossover possibility is there though. Will it happen? I’m not sure, but since 2016 we’ve had a Crash & Spyro crossover in both Skylanders Imaginators and Season 1 of Skylanders Academy. As well as the series’ 3rd season earlier this year, while introducing Coco into Skylanders.
Next year’s Crash game may not be a crossover and we may have to wait longer for such a crossover to happen. Especially given that Activision & Toys For Bob are yet to release the PC & Switch versions (and possible DLC) of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
