New Spyro Reignited Trilogy Screenshots Of Both Ripto’s Rage & Year Of The Dragon, Plus Sheila The Kangaroo & Hunter’s New Redesign Reveals

Okay guys Gamescom is here and with it we got ten screenshots from both Spyro 2 Ripto’s Rage and Spyro Year of the Dragon. Including our first look at the redesign for Sheila The Kangaroo. So without further ado, lets get started.

spyro 3 reignited sunny villa

First I want to start with Sunny Villa as it is one of my favorites. It looks great and very detailed compared to the original, while still keeping the feel of the level intact. Actually this applies to all the levels. Now on the bottom of this one we can see the Rhynoc with a giant chicken leg and, once again more detailed than the original.

Now onto Cloud Spires, where Toys For Bob did a great job at redesigning this one as with all the levels. Everything from the clouds, the rocks, and character animations is perfect.

Now before moving onto the new Ripto’s Rage screenshots I want to point out one more thing involving Year of the Dragon. And that is Sheila The Kangaroo. As you can tell there has been a lot of improvement to both Sheila and the level itself, Sheila’s Alp. Now the screenshot comes from the end of the level. Anyways back to Sheila’s design, she now has a safari jacket and hair, like we seen on the leaked Reignited cover art from a while back. Everything looks great from Year of the Dragon so far and I cannot wait to see more.

Now onto Ripto’s Rage we got new screenshots of both Winter Tundra and Magma Cone. I’ll start with Winter Tundra first, now since I never played Spyro 2 Ripto’s Rage I can’t really say anything concerning differences. Now I can say that it looks great from the castle and the skybox its amazing. Now I’m left to wonder how Midnight Mountain will look in comparison to Winter Tundra. Then there’s Magma Cone which looks just as great as everything else the Trilogy has to offer.

Now there is also a demo at Gamescom 2018, whether any footage will officially get uploaded or not I’m not sure. But so far the demo includes Sunny Villa. If going by these screenshots is anything to go by then I’d say Cloud spires and Sheila’s Alp will also be playable, since the demo focuses on Spyro Year of the Dragon and not the other to games.

We also got our first look at Hunter’s new redesign coming from the Sunny Villa section of the Gamescom demo. Anyways I really like Hunter’s design, it’s an improvement over the original. It also appears that the text box looks very similar to the one in the original, in terms of color and design. The demo wasn’t entirely focused on Year of the Dragon like we originally thought, as the only levels in the demo were Stone Hill, Idol Springs and Sunny Villa.
