Okay guys onto something that regards both the Sly Cooper series and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. And that is Sanzaru Games.
Update: This back cover art has since been removed.
Thanks to a user over on Reddit we got the German back cover art of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. And it has some interesting details on the cover. It not only confirms that Spyro 2 & 3 have to be downloaded individually, but also shows a 50GB Hard Drive requirement and remote-play functionality on PS4 with PS Vita. But what makes this even more interesting, is the fact that Sanzaru Games’ logo is on the back of the box. Sanzaru Games, the same developer behind Sly Cooper Thieves in Time. Who have been busy with a secret project that I’ve assumed was Sly 5. Actually I still assume it is Sly 5, because this is technically Toys For Bob’s game, Not Sanzaru’s. But a better question is, how much of Spyro did they help with?
Since the vast majority of this game was Toys For Bob’s doing, it is likely Not Sanzaru’s secret project. I don’t think Spyro is Sanzaru Games’ secret project, considering the little bit they assisted Toys For Bob. Now they could’ve just helped with the remote-play though, which isn’t likely because remote-play was in Skylanders PS4 games without Sanzaru’s assistance. As to what Sanzaru assisted Toys For Bob is still unknown.
I just want to make this clear. Sanzaru working on Spyro does Not mean Sly 5 is delayed. I still think it”ll release with the TV show next year after being announced at PSX.
Okay so I’d say Sly 5 is still coming alongside the TV show. Now Spyro started being made in 2015, 2-years after Sly 4 released. In that time Sanzaru has developed Sonic Boom, Tron and Marvel VR. Now helping with Spyro may have delayed Sly 5’s arrival. But I still believe it’ll be revealed to release in 2019 at PSX 2018 in December.
So the above video, by Achievement Hunter, features 14-minutes from Dark Passage, which is a level from the Dream Weavers homeworld in the 1st Spyro game in the trilogy. The level itself looks, well like a dream mixed with a nightmare. It looks amazing though.
